Dove Ministries is recognized internationally as a prophetic voice to the Church. One of its missions is to lend its prophetic authority as a spiritual covering to like-minded individuals who have demonstrated God’s call upon their lives and to churches and ministries of similar vision that have demonstrated God’s call upon their local houses or work.
DMI offers to help meet the needs of individual churches and ministries in ensuring continuation of scripturally based church governments through relationship. To accomplish this DMI offers two levels of relationship with individual churches and ministries depending on the amount and type of support a church or ministry needs to remain an independent and strong voice to its community.
DMI recognizes that relationship is not a means of control but is rather a method of providing prophetic oversight and influence. Senior ministers of churches or ministries that choose official relationship with DMI will be required to hold their ordination status through DMI.
Association is a more loosely structured relationship.
In an Associated relationship DMI will give prophetic direction to the church or ministry and will provide confirmation to the direction of the senior minister.
On matters of faith, morals, and governmental authority DMI will make itself available for counseling leaders of an Associated church or ministry and for support of the senior minister of an Associated church or ministry.
DMI offers Associated churches and ministries doctrinal confirmation on questions of biblical truth and holds all leaders accountable to doctrine, morals, and financial soundness.
DMI offers Associated churches and ministries several educational opportunities including its three-year bible school, Intensive Training Institute (iTi), and regular seminars and gatherings for DMI ministers and their key workers.
In addition to the requirement of ordination with DMI for senior ministers, DMI offers Associated churches and ministries both ordination and licensing to their staffs and other key leaders, although this is not required for Association. Implicit in this provision is that individuals holding ordination or licensing papers apart from DMI are not covered by the authority of DMI.
Finally, DMI offers personal and pastoral care to all ordained or licensed ministers of an Associated church or ministry.
